UNITED STATE President Joe Biden claimed on Sunday he did not mean to step in to stop a port strike on the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico if dock employees fell short to protect a brand-new agreement by anOct 1 due date.

“It’s collective bargaining. I don’t believe in Taft-Hartley,” he informed press reporters.

Presidents can interfere in labor disagreements that endanger nationwide protection or safety and security by enforcing an 80-day ceasefire agreement under the government Taft-Hartley Act
