Vance prompts Musk to rehire DOGE staffer regardless of racist tweets

Vice President JD Vance on Friday required the rehiring of a DOGE staffer that surrendered from a delicate Trump management message over the direct exposure of tweets promoting for bigotry and eugenics.

Vance’s phone call was available in a respond to a survey that DOGE principal Elon Musk released on his social networks system X asking customers whether 25-year-old staffer Marko Elez must be rehired to Musk’s supposed Department of Government Efficiency group.

“Here’s my view: I obviously disagree with some of Elez’s posts, but I don’t think stupid social media activity should ruin a kid’s life,” Vance composed in a tweet.

“We shouldn’t reward journalists who try to destroy people. Ever,” claimed Vance, describing the reality that The Wall Street Journal on Thursday revealed Elez’s link to an X account that made the inflammatory tweets.

“So I say bring him back,” Vance composed. “If he’s a bad dude or a terrible member of the team, fire him for that.”

Elez was among a team of young people on DOGE, which has actually been entrusted by President Donald Trump with reducing government investing and lowering the united state federal government labor force.

On Thursday, before he quit, Elez and another DOGE staffer who were designated as special government employees were approved by a federal judge to have access to the payment system of the U.S. Treasury. The judge restricted their ability to share data from that highly sensitive system with other people.

Elez previously worked for X and another Musk company, SpaceX.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told the Bloomberg news service Thursday that he personally had vetted one of the two Treasury employees from Musk’s DOGE team. It was not clear if that person was Elez, who resigned after Bessent gave his interview.

“These are extremely educated experts,” Bessent told Bloomberg. “This is not some unquiet band running around doing points.”

Energy Secretary Chris Wright, in an interview Friday with ‘s Brian Sullivan, spoke about DOGE employees being deployed to his department.

“The federal government is old and perhaps a bit stodgy,” Wright said. “We’ve obtained some young children, assume young weapon monitoring professionals, can be found in to take an important take a look at exactly how points are run.”

“I’ve listened to these reports. They’re like seeing our nuclear keys. None of that holds true whatsoever,” Wright said. “They do not have safety and security clearances.”
