Pop super star Taylor Swift supported Vice President Kamala Harris for head of state on Tuesday evening, mins after the Democratic candidate completed a controversial dispute with Donald Trump.
“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” Swift claimed in a declaration published on her Instagram account, which has greater than 280 million fans.
“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” Swift composed, under an image of her holding a feline.
“I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
Two Harris project authorities informed NBC News that the timing of Swift’s recommendation was a shock to the project.
But the vocalist had actually supported President Joe Biden and his then-running friend Harris in the 2020 political election.
