Naples, Florida, authorities jailed Mayor Teresa Heitmann onAug 28 for apparently driving drunk.
Police at first replied to a house in the 500 block of 16th Avenue South after obtaining a telephone call from a male and his other half claiming an unidentified lady in a silver automobile had actually followed them from 12th Avenue South and third Street South– a prominent strip of dining establishments and stores in midtown Naples– to their house.

Officers think Heitmann might have been intoxicated and asked her to finish an area soberness examination, which she consented to. Upon conclusion of the examination, reacting policemans “found probable cause to arrest Mrs. Heitmann for driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance,” authorities claimed.
Authorities delivered the mayor to Naples Jail Center, where she consented to join a breath analyzer examination to establish her blood-alcohol web content. Following the breath analyzer test, authorities established that she had a BAC of 0.155 and 0.169, while the lawful restriction in Florida is 0.08.

“City employees were saddened to learn about last week’s incident involving the Mayor,” Naples City Manager Jay Boodheshwar informed Fox News Digital in a declaration. “Naples community should rest assured that our City team is committed and dedicated to serving our residents. I have 100% confidence that our City employees will not let this incident affect service delivery to our community.”
