Fast-Moving Wildfire Prompts Evacuations in South Reno


A wildfire that burst out on Monday, November 11, motivated emptyings in south Reno, Nevada.

Washoe County authorities reported a wildfire in the Callahan Ranch location on Monday, prompting locals to leave.

Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue claimed the fire is “wind-driven with a fast rate of spread.”

Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo provided a declaration on X, informing locals to “heed local authorities and follow all evacuation orders.”
