Keswick Mountain Rescue claimed its very first callout of the year finished in disaster after the male dropped from Sharp Edge on Blencathra in the Lake District on Thursday.
The volunteers were called out at 12.25 pm. A Keswick employee currently on Blencathra made his means to the scene over Scales Tarn, in addition to a helicopter team.
