UK Ambassador: “The UK is not walking away from Georgia, but cooperation will be based on the level of trust that we have”


Newly assigned British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward, signed up with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1996, and worked as the British Ambassador to Vietnam from August 2018 to July 2022. His knowledge consists of duties such as Deputy Director and Head of the China Department (2014-2017) and Consul General in St Petersburg (2010-2013). Ambassador Ward started his polite job in 1998 as Second Secretary (Political) at the UK Embassy inMoscow Radio Free Europe/ RL’s Georgian Service took a seat with him today to talk about the UK’s continuous issues regarding Georgia, starting with a favorable run-down of the reciprocal connections connecting both nations.
