DRDO Shortlists Bidders for Advanced Fight Aircraft

New Delhi– The Support Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has shortlisted 3 contenders to design and create prototypes for India’s Advanced Tool Fight Aircraft (AMCA), a fifth-generation stealth boxer.

  • Shortlisted companies: TATA Advanced Systems Ltd, a consortium of Larsen & & Toubro and Bharat Electronics Ltd, and a Bharat Forge-BEML Ltd-Data Patterns consortium.
  • Task Goal: To create a homegrown, single-seat, twin-engine jet including sophisticated stealth technology and internal tools bays.
  • Modernization: The AMCA task signifies India’s dedication to modernizing its Flying force and joining a select team of nations with fifth-generation fighter capabilities.
  • Rafale bargain: Individually, the Defence Procurement Council got rid of the acquisition of 114 Rafale jets from France, with 90 to be produced in India.
