Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk made a not-so-subtle stab at Donald Trump on Thursday over the president-elect’s background of unpleasant handshakes with France’s Emmanuel Macron.
The French head of state took a trip to Warsaw to consult with Tusk and review his current talks with Trump and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy held recently in advance of the Notre Dame Cathedral reopening ceremony.
Trump– that has a hand in some long, notablewhite-knuckled exchanges with Macron– contributed to his online reputation of awkwardly gripping onto Macron’s hand throughout their current conference in Paris, exchanges that Tusk could not neglect after his very own talks with the French head of state.
“Handshakes with Donalds are usually quite a challenge…,” composed Tusk alongside a clip of him happily grasping Macron’s hand for numerous secs at the Warsaw conference.
Members of journalism broke pictures of both throughout the handshake on Thursday prior to Tusk leaned in to whisper something to Macron and touched the rear of his hand.
It’s uncertain what Tusk informed the French head of state, that showed up entertained by the comments as they completed the dap.
