Donald Trump mishandled Elon Musk’s name once more on Monday.
The head of state unintentionally described the technology billionaire as “Leon.”
Fox News broadcast the gaffe.
It came as Trump authorized an exec order to develop a sovereign riches fund and as he fielded a concern on why Musk (that is leading the non-official Department of Government Efficiency’s drive to reduce public investing) must have accessibility to Treasury Department repayment systems.
Musk is a “very talented guy from the standpoint of management and costs” and his group is locating “tremendous amounts of waste” and “bad spending,” asserted Trump.
“Leon,” Trump after that stated, previously rapidly remedying himself.
“Elon can’t do and won’t do anything without our approval and we’ll give him the approval where appropriate,” he proceeded.
Watch right here:
Trump described Musk as “Leon” throughout a project speech in Wisconsin in September 2024, when he really did not appropriate himself.
That minute triggered widespread mockery on social networks.
