Democratic Congressman Makes Jarring Admission About His Own Party

Rep Seth Moulton (D-Mass) confessed to Fox News’ Bill Hemmer on Wednesday that he thinks the Democratic Party has “fallen out of touch” with many Americans.

Democrats can encounter as “preaching” and “talking down,” claimed Moulton.

“Sometimes we have the facts but it is the way we come across that really turns people off,” the Iraq War professional proceeded, describing other Marines that had actually informed him also prior to the 2024 political election: “Look, I know Trump is immoral and nuts but you guys are so out of touch.”

Moulton, that ran for the Democratic nomination for head of state in 2020, claimed his event currently needs to reveal “we can get back in touch with Americans, especially around the issues that really matter.”

“There is a problem at the border, for too long Democrats denied it,” he noted. “We did have a problem with inflation, the Biden administration didn’t want to talk about it. We’ve got to talk about these issues and actually present solutions to the American people.”

Moulton also poured cold water on longtime Democratic strategist James Carville’s advice this week that Democrats should “play possum” and essentially let the GOP self-destruct amid mounting backlash to the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency’s slashing of public spending and federal jobs.

“I don’t agree that we should just step back, I think we’ve got to show leadership, show a way forward, and show Americans that we’re actually willing to change,” said Moulton.

“We lost an election across the board, so by definition we’ve fallen out of touch with the majority of Americans,” he added. “We need to show that we’re willing to change, we’re willing to listen, and we’re going to make a positive difference in your lives.”
