WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Senators claimed Wednesday at a listening to the United States should do even more to resolve hacking risks after on Chinese’s affirmed initiatives called Salt Typhoon to penetrate American telecom firms and swipe information concerning united state telephone calls.
“This attack likely represents the largest telecommunications hack in our nation’s history,” claimed Senator Ben Ray Lujan, that chairs a subcommittee on telecommunications problems. “There’s a lot that we still don’t know about the damage that was done by the salt typhoon hacks, but what we do know is that more must be done to prevent attacks like this.”
