HONG KONG (Reuters) â Nvidia CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Jensen Huang informed grads and academics that âthe age of AI has startedâ in a speech on Saturday, after obtaining an honorary doctorate level in design from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
The head of the globeâs leading manufacturer of chips made use of for expert system applications got the honor together with star Tony Leung, Nobel Prize for Chemistry championProf Michael Levitt andFields Medallist Prof David Mumford.
âThe age of AI has started. A new computing era that will impact every industry and every field of science,â claimed Huang.
He claimed Nvidia has âreinvented computing and sparked a new industrial revolution,â 25 years after designing the graphics refining device.
âAI is certainly the most important technology of our time, and potentially of all times.â
Huang, 61, likewise informed grads that he wanted he had actually begun his profession right now.
âThe whole world is reset. Youâre at the starting lines with everybody else. An industry is being reinvented. You now have the instruments, the instruments necessary to advance science in so many different fields,â Huang claimed.
âThe greatest challenges of our time, unimaginable challenges to overcome in the past, all of a sudden seem possible to tackle.â
