(Reuters) – New York Governor Kathy Hochul claimed an approaching East Coast and Gulf Coast port strike readied to begin very early Tuesday can lead to substantial disturbances yet advised locals not to stock food.
“We’re deeply concerned about the impact a strike could have on our supply chains, especially when it comes to critical goods like medical supplies and others,” Hochul informed a press conference.
She claimed some customers could not obtain a car they are anticipating or various other durable goods.
“We don’t think there will be a disruption to the food supply” yet she claimed if a job interruption takes place for an extensive duration it can influence deliveries like bananas.
