WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Federal Trade Commission claimed on Wednesday it was acting versus 5 firms that it claimed made use of expert system in deceitful and unjust means.
“Using AI tools to trick, mislead, or defraud people is illegal,” claimed FTC Chair Lina M. Khan claimed in a declaration. “The FTC’s enforcement actions make clear that there is no AI exemption from the laws on the books.”
