Uttar Pradesh police officers ‘pressure’ rape target to take out issue after making implicated pay Rs 50,000: Report


In a distressing case, cops in Uttar Pradesh required a 16-year-old rape survivor to withdraw her issue after the implicated was informed to pay her Rs 50,000.

As per a report in The Times Of India, the case happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki where Ankit Verma, a 25-year-old family man abducted the woman on August 22. He after that apparently raped her and later on took her to a resort in Ghaziabad and duplicated the criminal offense, according to the target’s issue.

SP Dinesh Singh stated that the woman declared that “Ankit’s brother also forced himself on her.”

On August 25 when the woman’s problem intensified, Ankit left the young adult outside her home and likewise intimidated her.
