Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (RANGE), a peak body of Indian PSEs, works together with GIZ Germany to develop capabilities in PSEs in the direction of Climate Change and Climate Action by performing local Workshop on “The Role of Climate Co-Benefit Methodologies for Strengthening Climate Action” throughout 4 areas in the nation therefore improving abilities of over 160 elderly execs from 52 companies. The wrapping up workshop was arranged in Goa and ushered in by Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, CMD, Goa Shipyard Ltd.;Dr Alexander Fisher, Director, Indo-German Climate Action Project, GIZ India; Shri Atul Sobti, DG, RANGE and Shri Prabal Vikram Singh, Country Director, OPM India & & OPMBangladesh Earlier workshops were arranged in Bengaluru (Southern Region), Kolkata (Eastern Region) and New Delhi (Northern Region).
The workshops were arranged with expertise assistance of Oxford Policy Management (OPM), Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), and Perspectives Climate Group (PCG) and concentrated on basics of the ‘Climate Co-benefit’ principle and likewise checked out feasible methods to gauge its favorable effect.
