Madhugiri (Tumakuru area): The federal government has actually prepared a Rs 100-crore prepare for reducing roadway crashes in the state, Home Minister G Parameshwara stated on Monday.
“The Home department has prepared Rs 100-crore plan for controlling accidents by identifying black spots. The plan has been submitted to the Finance department for approval,” Parameshwara stated. He was speaking with press reporters after going to the place where 6 individuals passed away in roadway crash on Sunday.
He stated that greater than 100 individuals passed away in 4 months after Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway was opened up for cars.
“Immediately, the issue was discussed with the agency which laid the road and technical experts. The number of accidents has come down after measures recommended by the technical committee were put in place,” he included.
