Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday highly condemned the acts of physical violence committed by pro-Khalistani extremists and separationists at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Canada’s Brampton and prompted the Canadian federal government to guarantee justice and support the guideline of legislation.

Taking to X, he published, “I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. Equally appalling are the cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats. Such acts of violence will never weaken India’s resolve. We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.”

Earlier, Ministry of External Affairs released a declaration condemning the physical violence and shared hope that those enjoying physical violence “will be prosecuted”.

In a declaration, the ministry likewise claimed that New Delhi continues to be “deeply concerned” regarding the security and safety of Indian nationals in Canada.

The occurrence comes amidst a rising polite row in between India and Canada.

“We condemn the acts of violence perpetrated by extremists and separatists at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Ontario yesterday. We call on the government of Canada to ensure that all places of worship are protected from such attacks,” MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal was estimated as stating in the declaration.

“We also expect that those indulging in violence will be prosecuted. We remain deeply concerned about the safety and security of Indian nationals in Canada. The outreach of our consular officers to provide services to Indians and Canadian citizens alike will not be deterred by intimidation, harassment and violence,” he claimed.

Protesters lugging Khalistani flags encountered individuals at the holy place, causing stricture by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that claimed every Canadian can practice their confidence openly and securely.

“The acts of violence at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton today are unacceptable. Every Canadian has the right to practice their faith freely and safely. Thank you to the Peel Regional Police for swiftly responding to protect the community and investigate this incident,” Trudeau claimed in a message on X on Monday.

On Sunday, Peel Regional Police claimed a demonstration took place at the Hindu Sabha holy place in Brampton and unproven video clips flowing on social networks showed up to reveal demonstrators holding banners on behalf of Khalistan, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
