Former Haryana preacher Ajay Singh Yadav on Saturday invited a CBI court’s decision acquitting his older sibling, previous Punjab and Haryana High Court court Nirmal Yadav, in the 2008 cash-at-judge’s door instance.
“In a 17-year-old case, my elder sister, Justice Nirmal Yadavji, was acquitted by a special CBI court today. We had full faith in the judiciary,” Ajay Singh Yadav stated in an article in Hindi on X.
“My sister rose from a sessions judge to the high court and had this false case not been pursued, she would have become a Supreme Court judge too, but she could not get the promotion and was deprived of her rights,” he included.
Seventeen years after the cash-at-judge’s door instance shook the judiciary, an unique CBI court below acquitted Justice Yadav (retired) and 4 others in the issue on Saturday.

In the marvelous instance, a package including Rs 15 lakh was apparently mistakenly provided at the home of Justice Nirmaljit Kaur, one more high court judge, on August 13, 2008. It was declared that the cash money was suggested for Justice Yadav as a kickback to affect a building bargain.
The issue was reported to the Chandigarh Police, complying with which an FIR was signed up. The instance was later on moved to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Reacting to her pardon, Justice Yadav stated she did refrain from doing anything incorrect and had “full faith in the judicial system”.
