Mumbai Zonal Volleyball Tournament & Selection Trials For Maharashtra State Championship Held At Tilak Junior College, Nerul


Tilak Junior College of Science and Commerce, Nerul, in partnership with the Maharashtra Volleyball Association (Mumbai Division), effectively held the Mumbai Zonal Level Interdistrict Volleyball Tournament and Selection Trials on 7th January 2025.

The occasion showcased the skill of 16 vibrant groups from Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, and Ratnagiri, contending in the Under -18 and Under -21 classifications.

About The Tournament

This competition was carried out to choose leading gamers to stand for the Mumbai Zone at the Maharashtra State Volleyball Championship in Nagpur, to be held from 16th to 18th January 2025.

The launch started with a standard lamp-lighting event, signifying clean slates and motivation.

Distinguished very important people, consisting ofDr Ajit Kurup (Director of Tilak Group of Schools and Colleges), Revappa Gurav (District Sports Officer), Dhananjay Vanmali (Vice President, Maharashtra Volleyball Association), and S.D. Achrekar (National Referee and Convener of the Referees’ Board), beautified the event.

Addressing the individuals, Dhananjay Vanmali said, “This tournament is not just a platform for competition but an opportunity for young athletes to demonstrate their skills, passion, and teamwork. We are confident that the selected players will make the Mumbai Zone proud at the state level.”

Speaking at the occasion,Principal Dr Heena Samani declared Tilak Junior College’s dedication to supporting sporting activities skill under the visionary support ofDirector Dr Ajit Kurup.

The competition exhibited Tilak Junior College’s objective to advertise alternative advancement, integrating scholastic and sports quality.
