Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani on Thursday (May 8) issued a strong statement in support of the Indian Armed Forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, lauding their decisive action in Operation Sindoor in executing a series of targeted military strikes against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

“We are very proud of our Indian Armed Forces for Operation Sindoor,” said Ambani, calling India “united, fierce in resolve and unshakable in purpose” in its fight against terrorism. The billionaire industrialist praised Modi’ s “bold and decisive leadership,” insisting that under his watch, India had actually reacted with “precision and power to every provocation from across the border.”

Ambani’s remarks come at a time of heightened tensions following India’s precision strikes on nine terror launchpads across the LoC on May 7. These strikes, described by the Ministry of Defence as “focused, measured and non-escalatory,” were India’s first kinetic response after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people, including one Nepali national, were killed.

“Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has demonstrated that India will never remain silent in the face of terror…We will not tolerate a single attack on our soil, on our civilians, or on the brave men and women who defend our nation.”

The Reliance chairman pledged the full support of the “Reliance family” to any measure taken in defence of India’s unity and integrity. “India seeks peace, but not at the cost of its pride, security or sovereignty,” he added.

According to official statements, Operation Sindoor targeted sites “from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.” India refrained from attacking Pakistani military installations, in line with what the government described as a “measured” military posture focused on anti-terror objectives.

Ambani’s statement, released shortly after reports of cross-border shelling by Pakistan in retaliation to the strikes, adds weight to a growing wave of national solidarity.

Ambani closed his message with a call for unity and resilience: “Together, we will stand. We will fight. And we will prevail. Jai Hind! Jai Hind ki Sena!”
