People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Mehbooba Mufti revealed frustration with the current resolution on Article 370 gone by the National Conference (NC) in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, calling it a “half-hearted” initiative.
Mufti mentioned that the language made use of in the resolution appeared reluctant and fell short to totally communicate a need for the full remediation of Articles 370 and 35A.
“The language could have been stronger. This is a half-hearted attempt, and we are considering bringing amendments to the resolution,” Mufti stated throughout an interview. She kept in mind that while NC’s resolution recognized problems over the 2019 cancellation of Jammu and Kashmir’s unique standing, it did not clearly condemn what she called an unconstitutional choice.
Mufti examined the resolution’s obscure ask for “dialogue on the matter,” asking, “Dialogue with whom?” She emphasized that the NC needs to have strongly specified the need for complete remediation of Article 370, lining up with the solid beliefs of individuals of Jammu and Kashmir.
