Hindu and Sikh activists on Sunday held large protests outdoors the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi to protest towards the violence at a Hindu temple in Brampton final week.

Protestors from the Hindu Sikh Global Forum had been seen toppling barricades attempting to march in direction of the excessive fee constructing as they raised slogans of ‘Indians will not tolerate the insult of temples in Canada’ and ‘Hindus and Sikhs are united’.

Security was beefed up outdoors the High Commission of Canada in Chanakyapuri amid the protests.

The demonstrations got here because the Canadian police arrested a 35-year-old Brampton resident on costs of assault with a weapon throughout a violent demonstration at a Hindu temple within the metropolis, authorities stated.

On November 3, a protest occurred on the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton and unverified movies circulating on social media appeared to indicate demonstrators holding banners in assist of Khalistan. The movies confirmed fist fights and other people hanging one another with poles on what seems to be the grounds surrounding the temple.

The Peel Regional Police responded to the altercation through the demonstration on the Mandir. As tensions between opposing sides elevated, the demonstrations turned bodily and assaultive, an announcement stated on Saturday.
