
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday communicated with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Mount Everest Expedition group in New Delhi, after the group effectively scaled Mount Everest on May 18.
He commended their nerve, technique, and the duty of the NCC in structure nationwide satisfaction amongst youths.
During the communication, Rajnath Singh mentioned: “I feel proud to be among the cadets who scaled the heights of Mount Everest. I congratulate the cadets and their families. The NCC also deserves praise for deciding to send its cadets to this summit. This was also a test of your discipline and patience. I am confident that you will face all challenges in life with courage and win against them… The NCC has successfully inculcated a sense of national pride in its cadets.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth communicated with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Mount Everest Expedition group in New Delhi, after the group effectively scaled Mount Everest on May 18, 2025. During the communication, the cadets shared their experiences from the exploration, highlighting the preparation, training, and obstacles encountered throughout the climb, as reported by ANI.
Sanjay Seth commended the group for their initiatives and team effort of the cadets for their extraordinary accomplishment.
According to ANI, the achievement noted the 3rd effective Everest exploration by the NCC, adhering to comparable accomplishments in 2013 and 2016. The exploration group made up 10 cadets—– 5 young boys and 5 ladies—– with a typical age of simply 19 years, a number of whom were newbie mountain climbers.

According to the Indian Air Force (IAF), 10 cadets—– 5 young boys and 5 ladies—– got to the top of Mt Everest on May 18.
