At the very least 9 individuals, consisting of 8 Dantewada District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans and one vehicle driver, were eliminated after their car was exploded by Naxals via an improvisated eruptive gadget (IED) blast in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur area on Monday, cops stated.
According to Bastar Inspector General (IG) Sundarraj P, the jawans were returning from a joint procedure of Dantewada, Narayanpur, and Bijapur cops when the blast happened.
The occurrence happened near Ambeli town under the Kutru police headquarters when the safety employees were returning in their Scorpio car after an anti-Naxalite procedure, Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P stated.
The DRG is a system of the state cops. This is the largest strike on safety employees by Naxalites in the last 2 years, an authorities stated.
