Intel celebrates pupil innovators at AI Global Impact Festival for utilizing AI in social influence options

At the ‘India’s Demographic Dividend: Skilling for the Future’ convention, 44 younger Indian innovators had been celebrated for his or her groundbreaking AI tasks. Organised by Intel India in collaboration with INSPIRE-MANAK, the Department of Science and Technology, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of NITI Aayog, and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) underneath the Ministry of Education, the pageant drew over 2,000 entries from throughout 28 States and Union Territories, with vital contributions from 62 aspirational districts.

Beyond receiving nationwide recognition, six college students had been chosen to signify India on the worldwide stage on the Intel AI Global Impact Festival 2024. Among the celebrated tasks, the AI for Accessibility Global Award went to Tanisha Kaur, Yatharth Wazir, and Yashkumar Dubey for his or her creation, “Ishaara.” This AI-powered platform interprets textual content, speech, and Indian Sign Language (ISL) into English and 12 regional languages. “Ishaara” enhances communication for the deaf and mute group and performs a vital function in preserving ISL as a cultural heritage of India.

The Country Award was earned by Arjun Manocha, Swasti Sharma, and Arham Jain for “Sporty Coach,” an AI-based digital sports activities academy that gives personalised coaching and meal plans for athletes. With options like DailyTrainer, the app is designed to revolutionise sports activities training and coaching, making it accessible for athletes of all talent ranges.

Santhosh Viswanathan, Vice President and Managing Director of Intel, India Region, highlighted Intel’s dedication to making ready an AI-ready era. “Our collaboration with the government enables us to drive inclusive and responsible AI adoption, making these technologies accessible and affordable. These programs equip youth with skills essential for the Future of Work, and it’s inspiring to witness the students’ projects showcasing the transformative potential of an AI-enabled future,” he added.
