Working out is as essential precede as it gets on Earth, as zero-gravity takes a toll on the body. Former NASA Astronaut Scott Kelly clarified what the body goes through precede and just how one recuperates from it.

Speaking to Firstpost’s Managing Editor Palki Sharma, Kelly, that invested 340 days precede, claimed, “In the absence of gravity, our cardiovascular systems don’t have to work as hard. On my last mission, I lost 25 per cent of my heart mass. You lose bone mass and muscle mass considerably in space.”

He included that missing workout precede can set you back 1 percent of body mass each month and can ultimately cause full loss of weight and bone mass to a factor where also the skeletal system can develop into a “gumby toy”.

“There is a fluid shift to your head that can be very uncomfortable, and it never quite goes away. The pressure from the fluid affects vision too. Zero-gravity also has effects on our genetics,” Kelly included.
