Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was knowledgeable by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday that India is not going to be travelling to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025. There was loads of chatter surrounding India’s participation within the competitors however the Indian authorities determined to not grant permission to the nationwide aspect. Earlier, the BCCI advised a hybrid principle that concerned India taking part in their video games in Dubai but it surely was rejected by the PCB who needed to host all the event in Pakistan. Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra stated that Pakistan are accountable for the present situation.

“It has been decided that India won’t go to Pakistan, and this is not the BCCI’s decision. Let’s make it very, very clear. India’s cricket team doesn’t decide where and when they will go when we talk about Pakistan. For the other places. it’s fine. However, if you are going to Pakistan, it’s not the BCCI’s but the Indian government’s decision,” Chopra stated on his YouTube channel.

“They have communicated that they will not give the permission to go there. So India are not going. In a way, they (Pakistan) have themselves to blame. Yesterday only I saw that there was a bomb blast in a railway station in Quetta, and then whatever Pakistan are involved in when we talk about India, especially Kashmir,” he added.

Chopra speculated that if the Champions Trophy goes forward, India’s matches may be shifted to a neutral location like the UAE.

“The final PCB board chief in the course of the 2023 ODI World Cup stated ‘dushman mulk ja rahe hum’ (we’re going into the enemy’s territory). In the long run, if Pakistan decides to not play towards India, there might be repercussions. India may also face repercussions if they don’t go to Pakistan, however the sanctions might be monetary, and the way can the ICC cease India’s cash going to India? Pakistan shouldn’t have that sort of leverage. This is the onerous actuality. I really feel it’s completely sure that there might be no Champions Trophy with out India. Every group, together with Pakistan, understands this,” Chopra stated.
