Ghanshyam Nayak, best known as Nattu Kaka from the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 77 after a long battle with cancer. The veteran actor had an illustrious career, working in nearly 100 Hindi and Gujarati films and appearing in over 300 television serials. However, he is best remembered for his iconic role in TMKOC.
According to Zee News, Ghanshyam even shot for a special episode of the show while undergoing chemotherapy. He was given the funeral he had always wished for. In a conversation with ETimes, his son Vikas shared, “We called a professional makeup artist to do his makeup when he passed away, as he wanted to die with his makeup on. And I must tell you, there was immense peace on his face when his pulse stopped.”
