The Bihar authorities on Thursday permitted a 3 per cent hike in dearness allowance (DA) for its workers and pensioners. The state cupboard, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has taken this determination.
This hike will improve the DA from 50 to 53 per cent, giving improved monetary help to lakhs of standard workers and pensioners, the Cabinet Secretariat mentioned.
The hike might be efficient from July 1, 2024, it mentioned.
The Cabinet additionally permitted a brand new scheme, referred to as ‘Mukhyamantri Grihsthal Kraya Yojna’, beneath which the Revenue and Land Reforms Department will present monetary help of Rs 1 lakh to every landless household for the acquisition of three decimal land.
“This one-time monetary help might be supplied to the eligible landless household for the acquisition of their very own land within the state,” said the proposal approved by the cabinet.
The cabinet gave its approval for the maintenance and upgradation of rural roads after the expiry of the post-construction maintenance contract by contractors.
It also sanctioned Rs 120.58 crore for acquiring 50.50 acre land for the development of tourist amenities and basic infrastructure near the Punaura Dham Janki Mandir in the Sitamarhi district.
