Asteroid detected simply hours earlier than hitting Earth, crashes over Philippines

A small asteroid, designated 2024 RW1, was found simply hours earlier than it entered Earth’s environment and disintegrated over the Philippines. The object was detected by the Catalina Sky Survey in Arizona, a NASA-funded program targeted on monitoring near-Earth objects.
