Delhi to Boost Last-Mile Connection with New Electric Bus Fleet
Delhi is readied to improve its public transport network with the enhancement of 500 compact, seven-meter electric buses by 2027 – 28 Chief Priest Rekha Gupta announced the procurement under the Centre’s PM e-Drive system.
- Boosted Connectivity: The smaller buses will certainly navigate narrow streets, improving access to crowded locations.
- Modern Characteristics: Regardless of their size, the buses will consist of air-conditioning, CCTV, panic switches, GPS, and real-time passenger details.
- Broadened Fleet: Delhi aims to operate over 5, 000 e-buses by March, enhancing to 13, 760 by 2028, developing among the world’s biggest e-bus networks.
