Search proceeds for N.S. scuba diver missing out on because Friday in Digby County


Police state initiatives to recoup the body of a 29-year-old scuba diver from Meteghan that went missing on Friday inSt Marys Bay, near Digby, are still in progress.

On Wednesday, the RCMP claimed a helicopter was performing an additional airborne study of the location.

Depending on what that group discovers, the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team will certainly go into the water to proceed browsing.

Police claimed regional fire solutions are assisting with finder assessments of the bay.

Over the weekend break, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, which had actually been leading search and rescue initiatives, claimed the scuba diver was reported missing out on at around 7 p.m. on Friday.

“My understanding is that …  he was on a dive ship, and as he was coming to the surface something happened where he ended up back under the surface and then the search began,” JRCCMaj Trevor Ackland claimed at the time.
