Two weak tornados touched down Wednesday mid-day west of Cornwall, Ont., according to a Western University hurricane study team.
The 2 hurricanes struck Morrisburg, Ont., and a location southwest of Newington, Ont., the Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP) said in a social media post Saturday.
The Morrisburg hurricane had actually an approximated optimum rate of 115 km/h and created small damages to a gazebo, a fencing and some trees, the team stated.
There’s been no proof yet of any type of damages about the Newington- location hurricane, NTP stated. Its approximated wind rate was not introduced.
Both hurricanes were categorized as EF-0 on the boosted Fujita range– the most affordable feasible ranking– although the Newington- location hurricane’s category is an initial one.
No injuries have actually been reported, NTP stated.
