MELAKA: The newly constructed slip street on the Klebang roundabout main in the direction of Batang Tiga is now accessible to site visitors, says Datuk Wira Lim Ban Hong.

The Klebang assemblyman mentioned the challenge is a part of the state authorities’s initiative to deal with site visitors congestion on the busy stretch and make it extra handy for motorists to navigate.

“The upgrading work worth RM923,400 took approximately 20 weeks to be completed after the land acquisition process at the site was done.

“The request for the construction and improvement of the slip road was submitted by my team to the Public Works Department (JKR),” he mentioned after the opening of the slip street on Thurs (Nov 14).

Melaka JKR director Mohamad Salzeli Moktar was additionally current through the ceremony.

Lim mentioned the challenge can also be aimed toward enhancing security on the roundabout intersection and minimise the accident fee on the stretch.

“The new slip road will also ensure smooth flow of traffic, particularly during peak hours and weekends apart from alleviating heavy traffic congestions experienced by the locals,” he mentioned.

Lim mentioned he additionally plans to submit a brand new proposal for additional improve works together with widening the street as much as the Batang Tiga site visitors mild junction.

Meanwhile, Taman Sayang Selasih Residential Association chairman R. Nagappan thanked Lim for his effort to beat the site visitors congestion subject on the space.
