
SUBANG Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has actually eliminated a dining establishmentâs signboard and briefly closed down the properties after examinations exposed that its driver has actually broken a number of laws.

âThe council had on Jan 21 issued a notice under the MBSJ Advertisement Bylaw 2007, which prohibits signboard or advertisement displays without a valid MBSJ licence, to the business owner.
âHowever, the owner did not take any action by the end of the noticeâs deadline on Feb 3.
âFollowing this, MBSJ took strict action by removing the signboard that was installed without council approval.
âA fine of up to RM1,000 may be imposed on the business owner if found guilty.
âMBSJ also took action against the premises for violating the MBSJ Food Establishment Licensing Bylaw 2007, which is for operating without a valid business licence.
âEnforcement action was taken by seizing the restaurantâs goods and immediately closing the premises.
âAdditionally, the business owner was issued a notice to vacate and demolish the premises under the Street, Drainage, and Building Act 1974 (Act 133), for making renovations that deviated from the approved building plan.
âThe owner was instructed to dismantle and demolish the structures that violated MBSJâs guidelines, within 30 days from the date the notice was issued, which was Feb 17,â claimed MBSJ.
Following the momentary closure, MBSJ claimed it may think about enabling business proprietor to resume the dining establishment upon conformity with all regional council policies on permits.
The city board suggests all structure and local business owner to abide by developed standards and to obtain authorizations beforehand.
