
KOTA KINABALU: Excitement filled up the air at Servay Hypermarket Likas on Saturday early morning as 50 impoverished youngsters from Sepanggar excitedly picked brand-new clothing and footwear for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
With RM200 each in hand, the youngsters checked out shelfs of baju Melayu, baju kurung, and joyful shoes.
The Raya Shopping program, component of the Iftar Tour 2025 campaign, was arranged by Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTC) in partnership with Sabah’s Community Development Leadership Unit (UPPM). Sepanggar was the 4th drop in the campaign.
KTC exec supervisor Datuk Dexter Lau claimed the program belonged to the business’s company social duty (CSR) campaign to sustain family members in demand and bring pleasure to youngsters throughout the joyful period.
“We want these children to experience the excitement of Hari Raya just like any other child. Seeing their smiles today is the greatest reward for us,” he included.
Also existing were Sabah UPPM supervisor Datuk Awang Kadin, Sepanggar neighborhood leaders Datuk Mohd Razali Razi @Bob and Datuk Aziah Atoh, in addition to reps from KTC and UPPM.
