Two employees eliminated in a surge at Delta Air Lines center in Atlanta


ATLANTA (AP)– Two employees were eliminated and an additional wounded in a surge very early Tuesday at a Delta Air Lines upkeep center near the Atlanta flight terminal.

Delta stated it was collaborating with neighborhood authorities to examine what took place.

WSB-TV reported that a tire on an aircraft blew up, eliminating one Delta staff member and an agreement employee. The tv terminal mentioned unrevealed resources.

Several Atlanta fire systems and cops replied to the upkeep garage near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport soon after 5 a.m., The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

“The Delta family is heartbroken at the loss of two team members and the injury of another following an incident this morning at the Atlanta Technical Operations Maintenance facility,” Delta said in a statement. “We have extended our full support to family members and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.”

Delta gave thanks to initial -responders and clinical groups.

“We are now working with local authorities and conducting a full investigation to determine what happened,” the Atlanta- based airline company stated.
