(Reuters) – General Motors claimed on Thursday Alfred Kelly, Jr., previous chairman and chief executive officer of Visa, has actually joined its board of supervisors.
Kelly acted as Visa’s ceo from 2016 to 2023 and relinquished its board in February 2024.
“Al Kelly’s incredible financial, tech, and consumer insights are a great complement to GM’s board as we unlock new growth opportunities in electric vehicles, autonomous technology, and software and services,” claimed Mary Barra, GM’s chair and chief executive officer.
Including Kelly, General Motors’ board currently has 13 supervisors, 12 of whom are independent.
