BHIWANDI: Narayan Chaudhary, a rebel corporator from the Bharatiya Janata Event (BJP), was elected Mayor of the Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Company (BNMC) on Friday.
- Chaudhary protected success with support from the Congress-led Bhiwandi Secular Front (BSF).
- Congress candidate Tariq Momin was elected Deputy Mayor.
- The BJP prepares to test the political election and seek incompetency for Chaudhary and 5 various other corporators that cross-voted.
- Congress emerged as the single largest celebration with 30 seats in the 90 -member BNMC.
- Chaudhary vowed to focus on the city’s growth.
