Residents of an Australian suburban area are whining their city âsmells like a toiletâ after a deluge of human waste started spreading out with the location.
Aerial photos reveal countless litres of human waste matter merging in a sporting activities area in Perthâs southern, which has gradually diminish to the prominent visitor location of Fremantle, triggering authorities to beg with the general public to stay clear of leisure tasks like angling.
The issue was triggered by a ruptured drain pipeline in Beaconsfield 4 days earlier. After the pipe burst on Friday, residents reported a foul smell wafting from the leafy Perth suburb, Nine News reported.

Water Corporation has warned residents that itâs expected to take â timeâ to make the repair work.
âGiven the complexity of the wastewater network, there remains a risk of further localised overflows,â it said. âAs repairs progress, the public is asked to avoid affected areas. Warning signage, security, and barricades are in place for the communityâs protection.â
Water Corporation is working with the WA Department of Health, Department of Water and Environmental Regulation and Department of Biodiversity, Conservation to ensure public safety.
âIn the event of contact with any residual wastewater, wash hands thoroughly with soap and clean water and disinfect any surfaces exposed to wastewater,â it stated.
