Bunnings is seeking a review of the decision and said the technology was designed to protect its team members and customers against crime, releasing CCTV footage of customers threatening workers with weapons and physically attacking them.

The announcement comes as the deadline for sending presents to loved ones looms.

Australia Post parcels need to be sent by today, Friday December 20, to arrive in time for Christmas.

Last- minute consumers can purchase a couple of added days if sent out by Express Post, with presents required in the mail by Monday, December 23.
