It was a brutal blow for Agostino and Jackson, who called it their “worst nightmare”.
“It was complicated because you’ve obviously your customer service emails, Instagram handles, TikTok, all that type of stuff that you have to change as well,” Jackson told Yahoo Finance.
They even had to pay $1,000 to get the number plate switched as well so it wouldn’t look like they were promoting an adult website.
The couple originally wanted to call their brand “Mr”, but someone had already trademarked that and wanted $30,000 for the rights.
Despite skincare being a heavily saturated market in Australia, Jackson and Agostino believe they’ve found a niche.
Jackson spent years soaking up knowledge about the industry while working at Mecca and Agostino suffered from acne growing up. They wanted to combine those experiences to make a skincare line that men could enjoy.
